Crash when meeting Elizabeth[]
EDIT: Solution: Verified Steam cache integrity. At least one file was corrupt, was redownloaded, then it worked. Why doesn't the game check file integrity when it loads a file?
RAGE crashes to the desktop right after meeting Elizabeth Cadence the first time and going through the door. She turns around and apparently waits for the protagonist to follow. As soon as I approach her normally, the game crashes. I have tried about ten times now, it always crashes. It does not matter whether I'm right behind her or leave her some room or wait for the door to close (and reopen it to follow her).
A workaround is to avoid looking at the left part of the room, where stairs lead down somewhere. The crash happens as soon as I look in that direction. It is possible to interact with Elizabeth without looking "left", for example by walking into the room backwards and sideways, successfully aquiring the next mission.
