The Steel-tipped Bolts are an ammunition type and ingredient used to create engineering items featured in RAGE. It is the default ammo type for the Striker Crossbow. It can be found in some locations throughout the Wasteland and bought from vendors.
The bolts deal a considerable amount of damage enemies, Bandits and Authority troops. This ammo is effective against all types of enemies, as even the strong and armored enemies such as the Authority troops or Gearheads will be killed in 2-3 hits, and, due to this, will be useful until near the end of the game. Approximately 5 out of 6 bolts can be recovered.
The Steel-tipped Bolts are used in the Dynamite Bolts and Mind Control Bolts schematics.
