Background[]
Nothing is known of Rusty's early life. He is a resident of Wellspring and the proprietor of Rusty's Autoparts.
During the "Rusty's Resupply" mission featured in Wasteland Legends, the narrator explains that Rusty hires mercenaries to raid the Wasted Clan hideout for car parts. The narrator mentions that Rusty himself used to participate in the raids, before losing his left arm.
Events of RAGE[]
In 2135, when Nicholas Raine first arrives in Wellspring, he can encounter Rusty behind the counter of his shop near the Wellspring Speedway. He sells upgrades for vehicles in exchange for racing certificates as well as ammunition and different items for Vehicle Combat. The player can also purchase vehicle quick-use items from him in exchange for money.
