Pistol rounds are a type of ammunition featured in RAGE. They are used with the Settler Pistol. These rounds are given to the protagonist at the beginning of the game, and can then be found throughout the Wasteland, as well as bought from vendors.
A Pistol Round is a medium-caliber bullet that deals low damage, so it's possible to get into sticky situations when confronting heavily-armored enemies. It is advised to upgrade to Fatboy ammo as soon as possible. Enemies commonly carry this type of ammunition and it is advised that the ammo is sold and replaced with either Fatboys or Fat Mammas; the player gets 3 dollars per 12 rounds.
