Rage Vehicle Combat spectacular

Winning Dollars off of a Cmabt challenge.

Dollars are the currency in RAGE. The protagonist can hold a max of 9999 dollars at once, any higher number will normally be reset to 9999 as soon as the shopping menu is closed.

Dollars can be obtained in a variety of ways such as looting dead bodies and objects, selling unwanted items or completing quests like Sally's and Brick's specific bounties and various main storyline and side missions. Nearly all quests provide some sort of reward upon completion, and often the reward includes money. The amount of money received for completing quests varies depending on the main storyline progress made. It can range from 100 dollars at the beginning of the story to 350 dollars at the end.

Dollars are the only way to obtain some engineering items that will not appear as random loot. Dollars cannot be used for purchasing vehicle upgrades that are only sold for racing certificates.

Nicholas Raine seems to be the only person in the Wasteland that needs cash as bandits, Authority soldiers, and killable NPCs carry a very small amount of money, ranging from none to 50 dollars. Coffer and Jani seem to take dollars, but they don't seem to have purpose for them except to buy items from the protagonist. J.K. Stiles also seems to have a good amount of money off of his show Mutant Bash TV.
