Background[]
Nothing is known of Abbott's early life. He is a gambler known to travel between Wellspring and Subway Town.
During the "Water Service" mission featured in Wasteland Legends, Abbott is one of the two men responsible for defending the town of Wellspring from the Gearheads.
Events of RAGE[]
In 2135, Nicholas Raine encounters Abbott in the town of Wellspring, where he can be challenged to a game of Five Finger Fillet in the Second Chance bar.
Later, the Authority occupies the town of Wellspring and several prominent residents are arrested or forced to flee the area. When Nicholas travels eastward to the community of Subway Town, he once again encounters Abbott challenging fellow patrons to a round of Five Finger Fillet at the Fez bar.

- Abbott is a surname that means "abbot" or "priest," from the Old English abbod or Old French abet.
- Like several other characters featured in RAGE, including the protagonist, Abbott is a mute and does not speak to the player, nor does he converse with any other character.
- Defeating Abbott in five rounds of Five Finger Fillet unlocks the Just a Flesh Wound achievement/trophy.
